Welcome to Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
At the UF College of Medicine’s division of plastic and reconstructive surgery, our faculty offers comprehensive care in the reconstruction of congenital and acquired defects, and in cosmetic surgery. Our plastic surgeons have expertise in microsurgery, surgery of the hand and the care of chronic wounds, and care for adult and pediatric patients from a wide geographic area. Since its inception in 1963, faculty and staff of the division have sought to fulfill the three components of the mission of the UF College of Medicine: patient care of the highest order, education of students at many levels and research to advance the state of knowledge in plastic surgery. The division conducts a post-graduate residency program for surgeons who wish to become plastic surgeons. Past graduates of this program serve in both university and community practices. Members of the division pursue basic laboratory research and clinical research.
